Decoupled Location Architecture

One Android Mock-Location Engine. Multiple Ways to Control It.

Mockery separates simulated coordinate generation from Android mock injection. Simulate live routes from a desktop browser, steer with a virtual joystick, or pipe real external satellite fixes via an ESP32.

The Decoupled Location Pipeline

Instead of bundling a map UI and spoofer engine into a fragile single-screen phone app, Mockery establishes independent source providers feeding one robust background daemon.

Mockery GPS Spoofer (Android Native)

Runs as a persistent Kotlin Foreground Service with zero Flutter background dependency. Injects coordinates into Android's native LocationManager with local clock timestamps.

The 4 Pillars of Mockery

Explore each application and component within the Mockery family.

📱

Mockery GPS Spoofer

The persistent Android backbone. Decoupled native Kotlin foreground service that polls your configured provider and feeds Android mock locations even when the screen is locked or the Flutter UI is killed.

  • Non-stop operation under Android 8.0 to 15
  • 4-state actionable foreground notification shade
  • Diagnostic Monitor for latency, freshness & errors
  • Destination arrival polling decay (saves mobile data)
🗺️

Mockery GPS Controller

Full-featured browser application for desktop and mobile. Click to plot straight-line waypoints, adjust speed dynamically, edit routes live without teleporting, and control multiple Android phones simultaneously.

  • MapLibre GL JS vector maps (no vendor lock-in)
  • Route Anchor technology prevents simulation jumps
  • Controller vs Observer multi-tab Take Over arbitration
  • Arrival countdown HUD with live ETA calculations

Mockery GPS ESP

Connect external GPS receivers (u-blox, ceramic patches, roof antennas) to an ESP32 microcontroller, streaming rock-solid satellite coordinates into Android via Bluetooth Low Energy or local Wi-Fi.

  • Bypass metallic window tint & poor phone reception
  • Relieve phone GPS receiver to conserve battery life
  • Captive portal avoidance (phone stays master Wi-Fi AP)
  • Preserves structured data and raw NMEA sentences

Mockery GPS Joystick

Interactive on-screen virtual joystick overlay. Designed for hands-on application QA, walk/drive simulation presets, saved coordinate bookmarking, and smooth instantaneous vector adjustments.

  • Walking (5 km/h), cycling (20 km/h) & driving modes
  • Seamless handoff between route simulation & manual steer
  • Saved locations & coordinate hotkeys
  • Clean developer tool for location-dependent UI testing

Engineered for Technical Integrity

1

Pull-Based Polling Loop

The Spoofer asks "Where should I be now?" rather than having servers blast continuous location streams. This gives the mobile device full control over polling cadence, conserving battery and mobile data.

2

Zero-Teleport Route Anchor

Drag, delete, or insert waypoints while a 100 km/h simulation is actively moving. The current simulated position converts into an internal anchor—the vehicle advances smoothly without ever jumping back to start or teleporting.

3

Fault-Tolerant Reconnection

If Wi-Fi drops, tunnels occur, or the browser tab closes, the backend and Android spoofer strictly retain the last valid coordinate. Mockery never snaps to a default origin merely because of a network hiccup.

4

Arrival Polling Decay

Forget your phone on the desk after a route completes? After a 2-minute grace period, the Spoofer gradually steps down polling frequency from 1s to 10s maximum decay ceiling while maintaining continuous local mock injection.

Understanding Android Mock Locations

We believe in complete transparency. We document the inner workings of Android's LocationManager, how navigation software snaps coordinates to roads, and why simulated GPS behaves the way it does.

Why is Mockery Completely Free?

Mockery was built by our engineering team for internal mobile application development, real-world field testing, and personal automotive use. Rather than gating features behind subscriptions, ads, or artificial paywalls, we chose to release the complete ecosystem freely.
